U.S. Department of the Navy Awards Perspecta an Additional $485 Million, Eight-Month Extension on its Next Generation Enterprise Services (NGEN) Contract

Perspecta Inc. (NYSE: PRSP), a leading U.S. government services provider, today announced it has received an additional eight-month extension of its Next Generation Enterprise Network (NGEN) contract from the U.S. Department of the Navy. This latest extension, which has a ceiling value of $485 million, provides the Navy and Marine Corps with uninterrupted IT and network security services through May 2020. 

Under NGEN, Perspecta operates the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), the world's largest intranet, with approximately 350,000 seats representing 700,000 Navy and Marine Corps uniformed and civilian users, largely within the continental United States.

Today's contract award continues the evolution of a program that began in 2000, when the Navy started a forward-leaning transformation to secure net-centric operations. Today, that program is the world's largest secure intranet and the U.S. government's largest IT managed services contract.
